right - I'm going on an avocado growing mission now then...but it does sound similar to the egg cup...so I'm not holding out a lot of hope for it not going mouldy yet... and still no progress on the glace cherry....although something else strange-looking is growing out of the side of the pot.... :wa...

Avocado!! I've never mnaged to grow one...someone told me to stick a cocktail stick in either side and balance it so it was touching water in an eggcup..but all that happens is it goes very mouldy!!!

I did that with pattipan squash and they are still going...although never enough for a meal..just one very small squash every couple of weeks!!!

To be painfully honest.....(novice alert) I didn't even know you could grow it outside !!! I'm off to buy coriander seeds and start again I think!!!

thank you!! A lot of advice to follow - to be honest I had no idea that there were even different types (novice alert!!!) I think the main problem is that I use it and then end up with a big pot of stem bits that are left after I have taken the leaves and then the pot ends up being a big mess of slo...

Does anyone have any advice on growing coriander?? I have some on my windowsill and it seems to go floppy and yellow pretty quickly even though I use it a lot in cooking...is there anything you're meant to do with it..or could I cut and feeze it??or dry it? also do you have to keep cutting it to mak...
