Have loads of cherry plums near me,made a few kgs of jam out of them last year and will be doing the same this year... Jam was easy to make,just boil all the plums whole(seeds and skins) sieve it when it's gone to mush(found a potato masher helped) http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g76/greyman15/th_...

Snapdragon after finding out what n.o.2 & 4 were i also made some jam out of them, very nice it is,and so easy.... Will be making a load more this week as the trees are groaning under the wight of them,so i'll have to do my bit for the enviroment :wink: Can't wait for the blackberries to get goi...

after a bit of rooting about on the net,found out 2 & 4 are plums.N.o.4 being a cherry plum,the trees are leaning over there that full,got myself a kg worth today after finding a recipe for jam(didn't realise how easy it was),so it's plum jam,and i've 2 tubs of apple sauce from last year in the ...

Thanks for the repliesI live in south manchester,UK.Were all the trees are,they have been planted when they built new houses on the primary school i used to goto,quite a few plum trees have been planted,and a few cherry trees along with all the usual silver birch a few hazel trees that have got nuts...

Walking the dog local today and came across these,i know the first one is a raspberry(and very nice the were too :wink: ) think no 2 is a plum(tried a pinky looking one and it was really sweet) don't know what number 3 is,looks like a small lime... number 4 is either a crab apple or a cherry any hel...

got to go picking today,managed to get 1/3 of a carrier bag in half an hour in between getting hit on the head by falling chestnuts due to the wind had some after my tea tonight,didn't cook long enough,just got to experiment with the times hopefully get out again soon,you can never have enough :mrgr...

says on the bottom they can be confused with Clitocybes

found these while walking the dog picked just the two(these were the smaller ones) had a look on rogers mushrooms and think that they are these http://www.rogersmushrooms.com/gallery/DisplayBlock~bid~5812.asp just seems a shame for them to goto waste if they are edible as there were loads of them,so...
