hi everyone,
i have never made elderflower cordial before, but in the spirit of becoming more 'ish' i am going to give it a go!
i have no screw top bottles at the moment, but i do have a very pretty bottle with a plastic bung that fits tightly, would this be ok to use?
if not, where can i get some cheap screwtop ones?
also, when i strain it can i use one of my son's muslin cloths? it will be clean of course!

There is no other organ like the uterus. If men had such an organ they would brag about it.

so long as its clearn you could use any suitable material
re bottles.. for cordial you dont need fizzy bottles, so you could use old wine bottles - plenty of them if you ask about - but yes a cork would be ok too.
no reason why you could not put it in ex jam jars etc too.
if you are making something that will ferment. like elderflower champagne, it is important not to use glass.. as if it is forgotton can eventually explode...
