Um...just potatoes?

Or are you looking to be fancy schmancy with proper names?

In that case i don't have a clue, they're all potatoes to me!

Nope, nothing fancy, just how you'd finish the following sentence: 'These aren't new potatoes, they're.....'

I have my reasons.

All will become clear.

Basically yes! Quite often they are neither young nor new in any normal sense; they are just small and come with their jackets on. (We had "new" potatoes delivered all year round at the hotel where I worked.... )

Chips!
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

I'd call them old to differentiate from new - i.e. not new otherwise just potatoes or spuds ;)
