I have just ordered Retrieved from the future
It was recommended to me as it covers what life in the not so distant future could be like when oil runs out. It is apparently very accurate already about some predictions.
Anyone read it? Please don't give anything away if you have.
Will post what I thought about it when I have read it.

Ok this one falls into the can't put it down. Despite being published in 1996 so I assume written in 95 it is quite prophetic heres an extract-
Only on chapter four so far and will let you have an overall feeling at the end."...when China sored to Economic power in the 1990's, that it's demand for oil - and ability to bid for it - would starve the West and Western economies would come crashing down. But I admit even I didn't anticipate the Jihad of the Shia Muslims..."
