No idea about tonic - but I am so glad for you! Whenever one of mine was gone for a while in the past, I just gave her something "special"... Whatever they liked best. And I don't think you need to be afraid he'd overfeed; cats rarely do that.

That's wonderful news  but you'd better update the "my cat's gone missing" thread as I think people are still saying sorry there!

I am so glad

My cat does over eat - if she has been really hungry or out in the rain all day - then she promptly throws up in the middle of the livingroom... I'd keep up the treats (in small amounts) and LOTS of cuddles for a week or so before going back to normal.

So glad your fur-baby is home.

Can I suggest you take him to the vets for a checkover? If his claws/paws are scratched up as badly as that, it usually suggests they have been hit by a car (they dig their claws in as they see the predator so obviously get scratched as they are pulled along). Hopefully, it is a big nothing but better safe than sorry.

{{BIG HUGS}} tho with relief.

yay!

yes do take the cat for a checkover.. ours came back after 4 days and seemed fine.. then he went downhill. he was droopy.. and lethargic. Himself said he needed a rest, but I was not happy (we had.. in a terrible stroke of irony lost our other cat to a heart condition the very day he came home.. :( so I was a bit touchy)
anyway.. he had a small cut on his leg, which had become infected.. the infection was tracking back and had got into bloodstream - vet reckoned another 48 hours and he would have been dead. course of antibiotics and he perked up instantly.
if you dont take him to vet.. keep a good eye on him

and get him chipped!

sounds like he lost his way or got shut in somewhere. really pleased for you that he is back.

Yup, my cat who got blinded by being hit by a car had claws that had been ground down to stumps.

:wav: really pleased he's home.

Agree it's a good precaution to take him to the vets just in case...

Yay, so happy for you.
Reminds me of a cat that would go out at night, and expect to be picked up by car in the morning. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/dorset/7092301.stm
