something somewhere (someone willing to have me?)

Post: # 83552Post Berti »

As a single mom (and on a budget....) I'd like to try something different somewhere this year for a kind of holiday, maybe together with my then 14 year old daughter.

I would like to learn about veg/ fruit, cheesemaking, milking goats eventually.
I can bake bread, also sourdough, and I do spin (wool, for instance).

My daughter would love horses and other animals and helping out with those, especially the horses or dogs.

If you would like to meet some people from netherlands please get in touch with us and let's see what's possible.
Ireland would have our preference but we would love england TOO!!!

Have you heard of WWOOF? - you can work on an organic farm (and there are loads of different ones, from family homes to commercial farms) in almost any country in the world in exchange for food and accomodation. Just google WWOOF and the name of the country you want to go to.

I have been a wwoofer and it changed my life, now I am a wwoof host and I really enjoy having people from all over the world here.

Hi Berti

I know you said Ireland or England - but have you considered France?

We are not far from the Central Massif in the Auvergne region of France, have poultry, ducks, geese, cats and dog, but perhaps more importantly a horse! Also a 12 year old daughter. And know some other dutch people nearby with horses too!

If you are interested, pm me.

This is not an advert - I am not a gite or B&B or anything like that, it's a private farmhouse, we just enjoy meeting people and having visitors.

I rather like the sound of WWOOFing - but my partner is disabed - can this be accommodated? Also - what about kids? Mine are 12 and 13 so are quite capable - but are they acceptable?

I have just been looking into it a little bit and I've noticed that some of the UK ones will have children, some that have children themselves even prefer it.

I love to do it, maybe when Mya gets a little older
