Best rechargeable batteries for DAB radio

Post: # 75592Post Chickenlady »

I love listening to the radio in the bathroom, especially now we have a DAB one. Brilliant. Radio 7 and Planet Rock!

But it seriously drains any batteries I use. I try to use rechargeables, but these don't last a day. Can anybody suggest the best type to use?

Thanks

Jane

NIMH (Nickel metal hydride) with a good charger
Lidls were doing them for £1.99 for a pack of 4.................

Check your manual - does it recommend any particular batteries?

I'd also recommend the uniross batteries.... I use 2700 NiMH batts (higher the number the longer they hold the charge for - not sure of the science) for my camera and they last for AGES. I use mine a LOT. I bought them via Amazon at a good price.

The OH bought me some HAMA batteries and they didn't last very long at all so would not recommend them.

Martin - have you had experience of the lidl batts? Do they cope with heavy and regular use?
