Fleeces for spinning

Not the 1970s UK TV programme, but a free place for people to swap, give away or sell anything from seeds to tractors. Anything illegal or immoral will be deleted.

Not sure where to put this but here seems most apt
I've purchased apinning wheel and am itching to have a go at spinning but have no fleece Is ther anyone who has fleece they don't want? I'm in Aberdeen, Scotland...

Nip across and have a look at NEEPS. There are quite a few Neepsters on here as well. The NE Scotland environmental folks. There is a great thread going at the moment of people who want to learn spinning and similar stuff.

We'll be holding a spinning day sometime soon - I'll post the details here too. If anyone from Ish is interested they are more than welcome to come along.

Fleeces have appeared on freecycle before now too.

oh I would love to have ago at spinning ... I would also like to have a go at dying and knitting with real home mead wool ... soooooooooo if anyone has any that I can buy or trade for prolly easeier to buy than to swap for ..

Colhut and I went on a local 'how to process your fleece course.. went through cleaning drying dyeing, carding, spinning and peg looming all in one day. really informative!

Cassiepod, if I get offered another free black fleece, i would be able to share some wool
