Gooseberries
Gooseberries
How can you tell when a gooseberry is ripe? I don't know what type they are.
Re: Gooseberries
T'is easy.
Earlier in the year they are ready to be cooked when they are big enough, which hopefully coincides with the Elder blossom.
For desert gooseberries when they are soft when you squeeze them, although the ultimate test is to pick one and eat it.
