This beautiful perennial grows a bit larger every year. The flowers last a few days and are a beautiful deep red.The buds are almost ready to open. It is expensive to purchase. I am attempting to grow from seed but are best propagated from a root. They are very slow growing in my area.

The buds have opened up on the fern-leaf peony. The red colour and bright face are most attractive. Many in a tight cluster are very pleasing to the eye.
