new member of your community ...

Post: # 256957Post gypsygirl »

Hi from gypsygirl, I recently moved onto my narrow boat so have had to completely re think my lifestyle and loving it .. especially cooking on woodburner, and what I put in the sink that then goes down the plughole into the cut where all the small creatures are presently nursing "fluffies" - baby anything aaaah. Anyone want any wood ash or coal ash? Coal ash really helped break the clay up in my garden and I have read that both are good for chickens diet in making egg shells stronger. I am all about reduce, Re use and recycle so hope to learn stuff and share tips .... bring on this lovely spring :flower:

Hi gypsygirl  I had two dreams, a cottage in the country or a canalboat. The cottage won but I still dream of canal boats  What sort of narrowboat have you got? Do you travel or have you got fixed moorings? Bill
Just because you see two eyes shining in the jungle at night, do not think that the worse thing that could happen is that you are about to be attacked by a tiger. It could be two one-eyed tigers.

I dream of cottages and canals but live in an inner city terrace-one day......

Anyway a big welcome to the ish community. I am sure that many of us will be interested to hear about your new life on a canal boat. Keep us updated on your adventures.
