Hi from sunny west Wales
Hi everyone,
Found the forum while doing a bit of research for my "941 canner".
Live off the grid with ten alaskan malamutes, slowly building a log cabin too live in, umm planners!!!!! Grow a lot of my own food. Spend time hunting and fishing but get no enjoyment in killing animals. Really enjoy foraging, especially mushrooms have some good chanterelle and bolete patches.
Love cooking and have a great outside kitchen with a fire pit, spit, several cast iron cooking utensils including a couple of potjies. Along side an old cast iron claw footed bath for those clear nights, bottle of red wine , dove bubble bath and bar of galaxy :-).

I can't do great things, so I do little things with love.

Hi, I'm new here as well.
Wild mushrooms picking is an old tradition where I come from, my dad was a walking wild mushroom guide :). I still do it when I go back to Poland and it's the right time of the year. Try chanterelles with scrambled eggs cooked using some butter, I think it's an amazing combination.

Hello and welcome!
Just because you see two eyes shining in the jungle at night, do not think that the worse thing that could happen is that you are about to be attacked by a tiger. It could be two one-eyed tigers.

Hi there and welcome

Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Re: Hi from sunny west Wales
Hi thanks everyone for making me welcome,
ref 'old fellow' Mrs Malamute? Not at moment lol just the ten kids :-) don't seem to get the time to get out, too busy growing, cooking, sawing wood ( also have Canadian lumbermate sawmill ) and trying too get ten malamutes to behave like a sled dog team !! umm!! Before any comments about SNOW!!! wheeled sled, sled opposed to an adapted bike so you can take passengers off for camping trips in the woods. Also as you may have gathered I'm quite remote, up a mountain (well big hill) and in the woods, so Mrs Mal's don't tend to wander by lol !
re Kachna absolutely one of my favourite breakfast's, really good with a bit of smoked wild salmon, no I said smoked! not poached! :-) have a bradley smoker rigged to work on 24V.
Projects this year an alcohol still!! yeh! and a wood fired bread/pizza oven.
Thanks again everyone,
