My husband and I would like to travel with our two boys who are currently 3 and 7 months. We probably won't go until next year so they'll be a bit older by then.
I'd like to try Bangkok as we have no other starting point (my friend has been here and says everything is very cheap once you get there, that's all the trip is based on so far).
I have looked at some hostels but can't work out if the children count as people when putting in my figure to book/get a price. I don't want to have problems when I get there.
Is it easy to find accommodation once there? Any tips/advice/information to give.
Or where is a better place to go?
As with most people money is our main restraint - we don't have much to spend on travelling which whilst we can manage with this, it will make things more difficult with taking the children!
Travelling to Bangkok - maybe!

Re: Travelling to Bangkok - maybe!
Hi there,
Most hotels in thailand will be happy for children to sleep in the room with you as long as you warn them. Both my sons live in Bangkok (outskirts) so we have been there quite a bit. It is fairly easy to book when you get there but the best deals are online and you can also avoid being seen as a rich foreigner and charged more! Bangkok hostels and hotels can be very very variable so a personal recommendation by someone who has used the accomodation is really useful!
If you are planning on going anywhere in Thailand, you have to start in Bangkok anyway but there are so many lovely places to travel on to that time is usually the restricting factor!
I will pm you some info if it helps!
