I've had one of these for ages and I love it. It screws onto a work surface but is sometimes hard to use as the surface can only be thinnish and so it is only any use on the edge of our dresser rather than a work surface.
A friend gave me another one on Friday and I had intended just to keep the cutters and throw the rest out as it's a rubber suction cup one and the rubber has perished a bit and it no longer grips. But it's so nice I wonder if there is any way of replacing that bit. Any ideas anyone?

Re: Spong bits
I've never found these appliances that are fixed by suction cup any good, not that I've got huge experience of them. They tend to come unstuck with the slightest of pressure.
If the parts fit I'd keep the old one and parts for spares.

It's a 1940s/1950s manual mincer. They normally attach to a table or whatever and then you feed in whatever you want to mince - beef, onions, fruit, fingers... You can use it to make all sorts, I use it to mince up stuff for wine-making. A bit of nostalgia in a way, long replaced by food processors I suppose. I would think you would find a picture under google images if you put in spong mincer?

Have you tried asking on freecycle / Freegle? Might be someone lurking around with one. Or I found a few on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=spong+mincer but no "bits" just the whole thing!
