Sour Cherry Juice

http://www.durgan.org/URL/?TNNHT 26 July 2011 Sour Cherry Juice.

Found a farm selling sour cherries, pitted, and frozen with no additives, cost 13 dollars for 10 pounds. I decided to make juice. Method was to cover with water, boil gently for five or ten minutes and beat into a mash with the portable blender. The mash was strained through a mechanical device separating the fiber from the juice. The product was them placed in liter jars, then pressure canned, for long term storage at room temperature, at 12 PSI for 25 minutes. The end product is simply used as juice as required.
