For those who don't know, I decided 3 years ago that I would try to have fresh picked tomatoes for 12 months of the year.

Year 2 (last year) I narrowed the gap to less than a month, no ripe tomatoes for about 3 weeks.... http://www.selfsufficientish.com/forum/ ... 12&t=18243
This year I have Gardeners Delight still fruiting in the conservatory, although they didn't particularly like the cold snap we had in December. But they survived without heating and bridged the gap between the greenhouse ones that died of frostbite in November and the next lot that have just started ripening. These ones and 5 more younger plants will almost certainly continue cropping for the next 9 months.
It took three years, but very interesting to do and I learnt quite a lot in the process, plus there is nothing quite like having a tomato sandwich in February with your own fresh fruit picked seconds before.
