this year I made james, sophie and myself a dairy free christmas fruit cake from scratch, with no more help than getting the recipe from the channel 4 website. i am so proud. even prouders as the family have yummed it up and almost all of the 24cm diameter cake has been devoured in the last 5 days.

That's great Mrs Flibble, it makes your heart melt when they make you proud like that. Even better when the results come out well  :santa: :santa:

Well done honey. And thank you for the parcel - I've been meaning to contact you but I've had too many distractions recently. The little addition was lovely, thanks. How's the gal?

Where the hell do you find the time, woman? Are there about 700 hours in a Flibble-Day?!
Well done - I've made my usual bog-standard fruitcake, but for some reason it appears to have gone wrong. Lack of booze, probably. So if you hear a sad knocking on your back door on Boxing Day....it'll be me, after a slice of yours!
I took my dog to play frisbee. She was useless. I think I need a flatter dog.
