I tend to like albums rather than artists(when i first heard Blues from Laurel Canyon i was blown away,and 40 years later I still am.

Richierobins has named most of them but the ones I saw in the clubs in London in the sixties, that turned me on to the blues, were John Lee Hooker and Sony Boy Williamson.

I may get into a little trouble here, I realize my fav is NOT a blues style music,
But the lyrics (at least of 3 or 4 of their theme albums) is deeply sad and blue.
