Hi there and welcome
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

If it isn't a Greyhound, it's just a dog!

Hello to all...
I am Denzle and I come from Evesham in Worcestershire. The land of Asparagus. I grow Giant veg but have no interest in showing them. Self satisfaction,I think is the term to use.
I am married, retired, love my veg gardening and old classic and kit cars. I have a JBA sports kit car, and a self converted Mercedes camper van. An ex motor engineer by trade. We have a yorkshire terrior dog, just two years old called Milly and we live in a nice small bungalow in Evesham.
I only wished I had a larger garden though. You know what I mean when you want to grow more and just cant because of the lack of garden space.
Oh well.!
I hope I can be of use with what experience I have to help you all, and looking through the forum I can see that you all enjoy each others help. Its great to see.
All the very best to you all....... Denzle.

Hello Denzle and welcome
.
Ooooh a Merc camper van - lovely. Any allotments near you? You could expand your giant veg empire with one.

Life's a bitch and then you diet.

Thanks for the welcome Spider. Appreciate that.spider8 wrote:Hello Denzle and welcome.

The nearest allotments are quite a distance away and although I could do with a little more ground, an allotment would be too much for me. Im no spring chicken now and the old joints give me hell most days because of O/A
.
Im really quite happy with what I have. I think its just wishful thinking on my part. Its all in the mind and not in the body as they say. But thats life.
Anyhow, thanks again, it looks to be a great forum on ish.
All te best to those of you up North. Happy gardening. Denzle.

Whast about container gardening? You'd be surprized how much you can grow in a bucket or old bath....

Thanks for the welcome.
Ye, I do that now. I grow in giant pots...Buckets...Hanging and wall baskets. In fact anything that holds a bit of soil. I grow my spuds in empty compost bags. Im not really complaining, in fact I have enough ground to keep me going.
The polytunnel is reserved just for my giant onions.
Thanks for the thought....
