101 uses for a courgette/marrow

101 Uses For is popular and let's hope it stays that way. Our second book is presently called 101 tips for self sufficiency; we will certainly dip into this section for ideas. So post away and let's try and get at least one thread up to 101.

Hee hee, you could start with a cornichon (gherkin), stuff that into a small courgette and bob's your uncle!

Other uses - chickens love 'em!

... but he would be a useful uncle to have!

I think there's a few recipes on the food forum? I remember posting the marrow rum recipe...

Marrow rum; marrow/courgette wine; ratatouille (freezzes well, bottle swell with care); courgette chutney; courgette and lime marmalade; courgette curry (bottles well, with care); courgette and chocolate cake; grated raw in salads; good for bartering with; baked with brie and garlic in a hot oven; barbecuded courgettes; vegetable kebabs; ginger and marrow curd (very very good); save the seeds and dry them for making into earrings and necklaces.
