Sorry I've not been around

Post: # 199401Post mrsflibble »

everything has been sooooo busy recently. the garden is going great guns, when i can dig my SLR out from under the crap on my desk I'll post a photo. I currently have strawbs, gooseberries, raspberries, loganberries, rhubarb, various salads, dandelions (yes, cultivated), carrots (small round ones, normal ones and purple ones), potatoes, purple sprouting brocolli, sunflowers (for the seeds, but also for the flowers cos they make me a happyhippy) and all my herbs are doing well too. oh, and I have garlic. and what i think may be a red onion forgotten from last year which is now HUUUUGE. oh, and poppies. I love poppies.

Soph's huge and getting bigger every day ,the husband is well and so is the guineapig. I've now lost a total of 3/4st, hit a plateau but am trying to break past it. by december this year I WILL be a comfortable size 16, not a "yeah i can wear it but...." size 16 lol.

and no, I'm ashamed to say I didn't make one tiny bit of that outfit.

I failed my 3rd driving test yesterday; but as i failed on something i'd never encountered and didnt know how to handle, and as it was my first test in nearly 3 years, I wasn't too ashamed or upset. let's chalk it up to a massive expensive mistake shall we? I also managed not to cry in the car with the examiner despite having failed within the first 5 mins of the test, and was complimented on my parking ability and turn in the road so I was proud of myself for that.... it's not easy in one of these:

yes. I drive a 2.5l, 130ish bhp turbo diesel volvo. with L plates. and a booster seat for the squidge. lol.

Soph was a bridesmaid last weekend, she was adorable.

the guineapig went to school for show and tell today. he was a star.

and finally, when bored and messing about on the net, I found a picture of my friend Leah near her house on google street view which has amused us both no end.

so, how are you?!
oh how I love my tea, tea in the afternoon. I can't do without it, and I think I'll have another cup very

Good to hear from you. Well done on losing all that weight, that really is an achievement, all that non fattening fruit and veg will help break through the plateau. Soph looks adorable as a bridesmaid. Keep us all up to date. :flower:

Good work Mrs. Flib! Keep it up - I only passed my test because I sucked up to the instructor and he thought i was a born again Christian ROFL

You`re an inspiration, Mrs F! - (Now if I could just cut out butter - - - - - :? )
I passed my driving test at the fourth attempt by acting!
I`d just done a drama teaching course and my instructor advised me to roleplay 'confident driver'.
He said, "Come on! You can maintain the role for an hour, surely!"
I did - and I passed!
However, it was only an act and I was never a good driver. I haven`t driven now for 25 years.
Just my little contribution to keeping death off the roads.
We are stardust, we are golden, and we`ve got to get ourselves back to the garden.

Lovely to have news of you Mrs. F. I only passed my driving test because the examiner was Welsh, and I have a Welsh name, so pretended I was Welsh too! pbf.
