Dentist
Hi Everyone, I thought I would come to my friends for some sensible (!) help. I have to have a tooth filled on Friday and, because I am such a coward, the dentist has suggested that I take my iPod so that it takes away the sound of the drill. Any suggestions as to what music I should be listening to? I just know that I am opening this up to all the most awful puns in the world!

Actually no - I've tried and I can't find any good puns
Whatever you do, don't have any heavy metal. Headbanging in a dentist's chair is not a good thing
It'll soon be over.

Re: Dentist
Howabout that song by Bernard Cribbins...... something about a bloke digging a hole?!

it's either one or the other, or neither of the two.
Re: Dentist
Hi Everyone, thanks for the suggestions, apart from Bernard Cribbins (Pumpy ,what were you thinking you are supposed to be sympathetic !!!!!). I think it will have to be fairly loud and inspirational, I'm thinking 'I will survive' or 'Another one bites the dust'

Last time I had dental work done, they gave me nitrous oxide. Some Grateful Dead would go well with that!

Thanks everyone, as it happens I didn't need the music. I had this wonderful dentist with a real chocolately velvet voice and he talked to me the whole time (certainly better than Grateful Dead!!!!!). Can you fall in love with a voice?

Re: Dentist
Thank goodness! Bet you're glad that's over with!
I tried listening to a tape while having an op in hospital a few years ago but the nurse kept taking my earphones out so she could talk to me, she was for some reason convinced I was listening to Shania Twain (who she was really into)!
