New Market

Post: # 172871Post homegrown »

Well had a good day today

A local cafe started up a general purpose market, so I took down a whole lot of seedlings and sold quite a lot, as well as getting some prepaid advanced orders, also barted exchanging plants for other goods we needed.

also going to exchange the use of my front paddock for an advertising sign for market and cafe in exchange for free coffees for the wife.

so happy all around

Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Wish we had something like that round here, it sounds a fantastic idea!

And am I the only female on here that is jealous :dontknow: ? Mrluvpie would have exchanged for bitter for himself, before even considering a cup of tea for me, bless him
the ever growing luvpie household currently contains, 4 boys, 4 chickens, 2 cats, 2 rabbits, 4 fish, an empty tropical fish tank waiting new arrivals, now are we daft to look at our broody hen thinking, if we got some fertilised eggs........

Well done, Homegrown. The dying art of bartering is really coming back in our current economic times. It's nice to see people being co-operative when they may have tendencies to be protective of what they have. So, congratulations.

Well, my long term dream is to create an organic garden and self-sufficiency exchnage where poeple can physicaaly meet to buy and/or exchange garden resources, veg seedlings, organic supplies or even just meet for a cuppa in the organic cafe, I'd even like to set up an allotment project next to it.

But dreams are not free and have to sell lots more plants before it can become reality
