Is this who I think it is?!

Post: # 168787Post mrsflibble »

right, i was watching a documentary called Meet the British all about films made in the 1970s to entice poeple to live in sunny sunny britain. in one section (47 mins in as you'll see) there was a bit about a ballet performed using forklift trucks as part of the stage mechanism and to signify life, death and rebirth (you know, ballet bollocks) anyway, i swear i saw Tim McInnerny; Darling from blackadder. now he's the right age to have been dancing in the mid 1970s, he wasn't famous yet but i cant find anything on any of his online biographies about dancing lol (mind you, if you see the dance you'll probably see why he'd like to forget it)

anyway, i have attached a screenprint (well, no,. i have attatched a picture i took of my tv screen with ipod time signature on it) and another pic of him as he is now.

see what you think, and let me know!!

and him as he is now

Dancing??? Well, we all got up to some pretty funny things in the 70s...
Certainly bears a striking resemblance to him! Well spotted mrsflibble!

Imagination compensates us for what we are not.
A sense of humour consoles us for what we are.

MrsF, Have you still got access to the film? If so, look closely at his ears...its one of the techniques the police use to find crims who wear disguises as your ear shape is so individual.

It looks like him in the dancing photo, but not like him in the photo of what he looks like now! If Blackadder was made in the 80s shouldn't he be looking a lot older than that now? Anyway first bloke has ear lobes and 2nd bloke doesn't.

I'm sure it's not Mrs F.

He looks vaguely familiar as a dancer or bit part actor from the 70s - yes I am that old!

I'm fairly certain Tim McInerny would have still been in short pants at the time. Or even nappies

Maybe it's his dad?

Tim Mcinnerny was 20 at the time the dance was done, so it is viable, but I'm still holding out for an email back from his agent lol!!! yes, I emailed it to his agent.
