PHP has encountered an Access Violation at 77F4744E

Post: # 13329Post Andy Hamilton »

If you are getting PHP has encountered an Access Violation at 77F4744E instead of our forum it is a problem with the server. At present the bloke who deals with our server is on holiday and the other bloke in the office is in swansea whilst the server is in Northampton.

We are hopefully going to be able to get the server rebooted tomorrow. Tuesday 7th March and that should give us the forum back. It is very frustrating and a right pain but there is little I can do to sort it out. Just have to accept my aplogies.

Thought you were on the fiddle again Andy! I agree it is frustrating but if it will help that's good because it had gone onto 'oh-so-slow-mode' for me again the last few days, so I couldn't post.

hooorahhhhhhhhhhhhh we are back!!

Actually - I really missed the forum but put my time to good use and went out taking photos and doing some of my study....

Just one thought though - could there be a status message on the homepage (www.selfsufficientish.com) that explains why we can't get online in future - at first I thought my computer was at fault.

I did put a thing up in the top left hand corner of the front page, still there as I type but about to dissapear. I was unaware of it until saturday night. but I put it up there yesterday when I was unsure of the time it would take to get it fixed. All it needed was a server reboot  This is a problem with the type of software that our server runs off, when we move servers we will go onto a lunix server I think to stop this from happening.

Well I hope you all managed to get something productive done in the time you would have been on here

Must add that I am sorry I could not get it back up and running sooner but was totally out of my hands.

... and I missed all the excitement because we were off the net for an entire week... Too much snow and ice on the satellite. Don't think I've slept so much in years as I did last week!

I missed it - will look more closely next time.

I did actually try and set up a php page that linked instead of the forum, but a lot of hastle.

We have just had 2000 hits in the last 3 hours so I think that it did not take that long for people to get the message that we are back on.
