Posting trouble?
I'm trying to reply to a post in the brewing section and no matter what I do (preview.post/save etc) nothing happens

Re: Posting trouble?
Was it in the yoghurt thread? I've just done a test post there and it is working fine.
Try another thread in that section to see if it works - you can always delete it afterwards (or I will).

I'm trying to post a quote with a picture link that I fixed and a response but nothing happens, I even tried posting it here and I get nothing, no preview and no post!

Re: Posting trouble?
The quote function seems to work
and you have managed to post on that thread since you first had a problem yesterday. However you probably know what it is you are trying to do better than I do - is your picture too big maybe? Have you tried just posting text using the quote and preview functions without a photo/link?

Re: Posting trouble?
I tried posting the picture alone and got nothing, I tried posting the text quote alone and got nothing, I even tried posting a single line quote and got nothing but a quote from a different thread worked
I don't understand why it shouldn't work (I'm a techie and know these things) but it just plain didn't, oh well never mind the problem seems to have gone away for now but I'll post in there again if I need to ;)

Re: Posting trouble?
I guess it was just one of those things - this and other forums all have their glitches now and again. I didn't think it was anything you had done (or hadn't done) because I remember you mentioning you did IT stuff and therefore know a zillion times more about computers than I do.

Re: Posting trouble?
I can't post if I use Internet Explorer, but if I use Mozilla Firefox, I'm fine-check your browsers people. We've had a lot of trouble over her with I.E. for several months now, something to do with the main frame at Microsoft or so people tell me.
Its a nice day here, yesterday was HOT, we didn't get much done until evening. Going to try to catch up today, oh and I'm so pleased, my pear tree finally has its first and only pear on it! I'd forgotten it was a standard tree and would take longer to produce its first fruit!
The beans are up too and the rhubarb is doing wonderfully.
We still have a few Jerusalem artichokes where we don't want them
but hopefully by screening the soil this fall and again next Spring maybe we can get them all out.
Squash are planted, cukes go in today, and acorn squash. We've put a lot of our tomatoes into buckets so they can finish in the greenhouse, peppers too.

Re: Posting trouble?
If you are having problems with IE it may be that you aren't using the most current version. I think Headstrong mentioned that to me once.... no doubt he is still sitting in a drafty church hall somewhere waiting for the European election results to come in

Re: Posting trouble?
Interesting, as I keep getting error messages and being bombed out of the forum; it's been happening for a couple of weeks now. Yet sometimes I can't get out of the forum at all unless I close the window. I don't think I have the most current version of IE.

I use Firefox 3 so IE's not an issue for me ;)
