any ideas on how i can make a glasses strap for a two year old more comfy...im not great at sewing so it would have to be basic

at the mo he just has an elastic strap which seems to be rubbing the skin on his neck thus resulting in him being in pain and not wanting to wear his glasses

any help advice or words from a mum with a toddler with glasses would be great

You could make a tube of soft material about an inch and a half to 2 inches wide and as long as or longer than the elastic, stitch it into a tube down the long side and then turn it inside out (this is a fiddly job you may need the help of a knitting needle)
Thread the elastic through it (bodkin or threader helps but a safety pin will do it too) and re-attach to the arms of the specs.
Also may be worth checking that the elastic isn't too tight, knowing the speed at which littluns grow
