Happy Autumn Equinox everyone!
I saw the sunrise this morning (not by choice) into the clouds, the path on which I walk my dog has a light sprinkling of leaves and there is condensation on my breath.
We can now say that it is officially Autumn!
How are you spending this equinox morning? Did you watch the sunrise?

Re: Happy Autumn Equinox everyone!
I'm afraid that I didn't see the sunrise today - but will hope that there is a sunset to look forward to.
Half day and half night - surprising just how quickly that comes around. We'll have a special meal tonight and take time to reflect upon the year. Food will include squash, tatties and carrots and an apple pie.
I do love autumn.

Well, the forecast for the near future is for rather nice weather - dry with sunny spells - so I don't mind that it's autumn now...
Been very warm here today.

Mabon blessings to all!
My toddler insisted I see the sunrise this morning as he ramaged around my bedroom and pulled my curtains down, bless him!
Bonfire tonight, if my Braxton Hicks stop for long enough for me to wield an axe....

I took my dog to play frisbee. She was useless. I think I need a flatter dog.

Re: Happy Autumn Equinox everyone!
Equinox greetings.
We celebrated last night - I know it was a night early but we had fantastic weather. We have a mountain on the other side of the loch and at the equinox the sun slides down the side of it and sets in the cleft at the bottom. It's absolutely awesome, especially when observed with friends, round a bonfire, with nice food and wine.
I'm really glad we did because it's quite cloudy this evening so we can't see it properly.
So for those celebrating this evening, enjoy.

Re: Happy Autumn Equinox everyone!
What on earth is Mabon?
So much for autumn just starting, we'd already had 2 frosts and the wood burner on and back in the woolies. It is freezing here and although it is sunny, we've had the cold wind from hell every time it has been sunny this year....YET..... it is so dry again I am having to water all my plants, shrubs, rhubarb, young trees etc etc again because everything is back to drooping only 2 weeks after getting an inch of rain.
Just been in Rennes and they are irrigating the lawns in the park.
Normally the frost comes along with the rains in October and we are usually basking in 30C in September, with wind only in the winter. Something very wrong with the climate this year!
