I've been wearing varifocals since I was 17, and bifocals for two years before that. I'm now down to single vision lenses! WOOHOO!!! much cheapness! Also no signs whatsoever of glaucoma; both my gran (diagnosed age 40) and great gran had early onset glaucoma (dignosed age 30) and my mum's being monitored for the first signs (she's 44 now). I had what has to be the longest eye test EVER, plus extral glaucoma tests; puff of air on eyeball, peripheral and night vision tests.
He explained that I should take a travel sickness medication of some form for the next couple of days as I will inevitably experience some vertigo. I've started on the mint tea for now as I'm only slightly nauseous. I'm ging to try and stick to the mint and ginger because i don't see the point in specifically buying travel sick pills for this. The ground looks a lot further away, hence the vertigo. using the computer is wierd 'cos I'm not having to tilt my head to see the screen. I've not tried using photoshop again yet but Im sure it'll be fine.
Love the new specs though, and love that instead of costing me £250 like last time I needed specs, it cost me £105 and the price of my eye test was refunded 'cos I bought specs from them.
I went for £29 frames and their cheapest lenses and the shop lady said to me "but these frames arn't eligible for the free offer". I explained that even if I went back in a few eeeks time and bought a pair of sunglasses outright then, it'd still be cheaper than getting frames now which ARE in their buy one get one free range.
anyway, hapy bunny me. hasn't helped my typing though
