Why do these turn up everywhere but here? We've been after a working one for three years now. The closest we've come was missing one by less than five minutes at the Alford charity shop.

Stoney, I would take it in for you but, I wouldn't be able to get it too you... when we come up the car will be full, and it's not even a big car...

If you are coming down to the area any time soon(ish) or know any one who will be passing through with a van I'll give it a try and get it for you...

What's been annoying me greatly about freecycle is the large number of people on there who, from my point of view, don't have the "right attitude" (but then who am I to judge others on their attitude... )

What I mean is - the folk demanding expensive stuff with very definite specification (that's been mentioned before: "need" wide screen TV etc - nobody needs a TV!!!); the guy up here who asked for a folding table with 4 chairs, and when none was offered within a day or two, sent a very harsh post about how he'd helped freecyclers in the past, and now that he needed something nobody was offering (I almost sent a mail back to him: yes, master, I shall immediately pop out and buy a folding table and chairs for your comfort...); those many, many people who get in quick to claim all the good things (because they sit at home and can watch their computer all day), but then don't show up to actually take the stuff (there is constant re-offering on the two groups I'm a member of!)... Almost enough to make me quit the membership. :(

Shame that these chancers spoil it for others.
