If we were setting up a new political party, what would YOU want done?
Personally I'd instigate monthly meetings between councillors and their constituents, as a first step towards accountability and transparency.
Or re-nationalise the NHS, and revitalise it with a volunteer on-the-job training scheme.

Brilliant ideas, all I can think of to add is:
- Support schemes for the elderly/vulnerable: to instigate some kind of local system where these people are checked-upon and helped out a little by neighbours... maybe some kind of local scheme to help them get their groceries, etc.
- Scrapping the curriculum for a more common-sense based approach towards education: teaching kids things that 1. Interests them and 2. Will be useful in later life.
For example, I read an article where schools are complaining about rising food costs vs. providing cheap, healthy school meals... Why are kids not being taught how their food grows through practical schemes that would also provide foodstuffs for the school to use?
Sorry these are a bit vague, will add/clarify as ideas come to me!
Good luck, anyway
