Ah ha! So your "shed" is the dining room!

So are sheds like an inverted tardis? i.e., they look really big from the outside then  you get on the inside and amazingly there's no room to move?

I have two sheds like that...

Originally, they were to store my houseold goods in. All the kitchen stuff etc that came home from Uni with me.

Then...anything that was left in the living room got added, then my material stash...and so on.

I now have 2 sheds that are knee deep, and a loft full.

Its really not my fault! Things keep being moved!!

So...the sheds are now a contemplative thing. I go over to them, i open the door, rustle about, find a book and then sit reading it with complete disregard on everything else in there! Or, even worse, i'll find a bit of material from the stash and start wandering around thinking about what i can make from it...then start work on it!

Sheds are wonderful things...

I think he would do this to get away from my mums endless chatter. He realised (as old age and ill health took hold of him) that I shared his love for sitting in silence reading our choice, and enjoying the stillness of being together and connecting through silence, rather than filling the void. I have the allotment now, and although I don't smoke a pipe I feel my dads presence through the silence. (Could do with his advice but its a bit of a shout from where he is).
Got me a little misty there CC!

The shed is mine mwah mwah mwah..
It has my collection of wood sesoning in it and my wood lathe, assorted tools and power, just need to get a light sorted out in it. The only problem is that a metal shed is just way to hot to use for any length of time here, might stand a chance of producing something now the temperature has dropped.
Opinionated but harmless
