oh my darling husband
James and I cleared out the shed this weekend.
it seems to have become his personal domain. he's down there again. no idea what he's up to, there's no electricity down there so no power tools can be used in it, except maybe his battery operated soldering iron or the cordless drill and screwdriver.....
I don't want to seem nosey or nagging-wife-like but I'd really like to know what he's doing lol!!!
what do you do in your shed?

I wee into a bucket in my shed... It saves walking mud through the house... and the bucket of pee gets emptied onto the compost heap.
I would do wood work in my shed if it was big enough - no power tools either, hammer, nails, saw, screwdriver, brace and bit.... there are plenty of theings you can use without power... I'd like to make myself a pedal powered laith(sp?), but I need to study that more first...
Of coures he could just be getting some shut-eye... I'd love a private place just to rest in.

We gals have "sheds" too - it's called the bathroom - so if you need a wee while we are in there - there's the compost heap!

Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

My bf keeps saying he wants a shed for homebrewing. I keep pointing out that you can't homebrew in a shed cos it'd be too cold, but he kept going on about needing a shed for stuff, which I thought was a bit odd. Now I realise that he just wants to hide from me. Thanks, Stoney.

They're not weeds - that's a habitat for wildlife, don't you know?

my father used to retire to his shed, and on occasion the greenhouse. He would smoke his pipe, drink his beer (homebrew out of a handled glass tankard), and contemplate. I think he would do this to get away from my mums endless chatter. He realised (as old age and ill health took hold of him) that I shared his love for sitting in silence reading our choice, and enjoying the stillness of being together and connecting through silence, rather than filling the void. I have the allotment now, and although I don't smoke a pipe I feel my dads presence through the silence. (Could do with his advice but its a bit of a shout from where he is).

I have a mate who is married and has two teenage daughters. He lives in his shed! It is findly called the Fez Club and has a wee fridge for beer, a microwave for heating up pies, a portable TV for watching sport and big comfy chair and (I would imagine) a large stack of reading material
He has parties in it for his male neighbours. No wummin allowed. something strange happens to their balance when in the Fez Club - the flowers outside the door are all flattened

I've got a little potting shed with glass on the south side which makes it nice and warm so when its raining and I cant get outside I am to found in there just potting up stuff. I've got a wind up radio and a little stool to sit on. (and I'm A GIRL) Just how sad is that?

ok, aparently our shed is aparently for taking bits of car apart when it's raining and for testing out his battery soldering iron without me havingto remind him to move the table cloth before he starts messing with it (i have good reason to remind him about the cloth; this is our third
)
and for him to be able to have a can of coke and a choccy bar without sophie wanting bits of it.
