I'm laughing

I recently got a form from the tax office asking if I'd worked in the last 2 years. I fill one in every year 'cos they don't seem to know their a**e from their elbow and can never decide whether or not I've got a job
Anyway, I filled in the form some weeks ago and put in a covering letter stating where I used to work, my job title, when I left, why I left and how long I worked there.

yesterday I got a letter back.

I opened it thinking "omg what do they want now", I saw a monetary figure and panicked 'cos I thought they were charging me nearly £500 :pale:

they wern't. It was a cheque. they were GIVING IT BACK!!!!!

in 2005 I left my job in the sept of that year due to pregnancy complications and having a conscience about leaving the department with nobody in my position. Aparently, when I left I'd earned a little over £500 over the non-taxable tax threshold. They took 10% for my tax, then gave the rest back to me!

I got a flashgun for my camera, bought myself my fave bathbomb from lush and the rest is now in my cashISA.

leter this week I shall be getting my passport done, and booking another driving theory test. I've talked it over with James ('cos money earnt is OUR money no matter whether it's me or him who earn it) and we both think that getting me some legal identification and getting me roadworthy is important.

we might get a chinese too ;)

I'm now off to party like it's 1999, then I'm gonna go pick up my amazon parcel from the post office. the rest of the ay will be spent absorbed in my copy of the bibel.

hooray! I'm still waiting to hear whether I exist or not - the tax office gave my unique tax ref to someone else, so I kept getting charged for her, I would submit my details, I would get the money back...hope you don't get asked for it back - go and spend it and ENJOY it. (lucky you getting the Bible, I'm waiting for a library summons as I can't wait for my biorthday!)
"yum, yum, piggy's bum!"
