I bought this from ebay the other day. It's a hand crank sewing machine, so no power needed. When I got it, the case it comes in was all bashed in (it said on the sewing machine box itself, under no circumstances lay on side) so what did the seller do? Put it on its side inside another box. So, I got it, and it's damaged. It wasn't working either. Thankfully my DH managed to get it going, but it's still going to need a service I reckon as it's not running as smoothly as it should.
Emailed the seller, and surprise surprise, no reply.
Never having had this problem, I'm unsure of where to go next to be honest.
Ok, the machine including postage (it's very heavy) was only £25, but when you've a family of six to look after, £25 is quite a lot of money.
I'll keep emailing the seller and hope I get a reply sooner or later, but what else can I do if I get no reply? Any ideas?

I did pay via paypal yes! I'll scoot over there and have a look how to go about it.
I suppose one dodgy deal out of all the ones I've had on Ebay isn't bad.
The last sewing machine I bought (a vintage Bernina) was also not working, despite it saying mint condition on the ad
I did manage to get the cost of the repair refunded to me though, and the seller was very helpful. Looks like I've been stung this time though. Previous correspondences have always been quick. This time, not so. I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt though as they have already left positive feedback for me, and I really don't want to neg them unless I have to

Problem *sorta* solved. I found a tel number and I just called them. They said I need to take photos of the damage and they'll either ask me to return it (at my expense.....not likely) or they'll give me a partial refund. As I didn't say what the damage was it seems likely they've seen the email and just didn't reply to it
Depends on what they say as to whether I go through paypal to get a full refund. Partial don't really cut it as I'm going to have to pay at LEAST £35 to get this thing serviced now. And that only a basic service. If any bits need replacing it will be more. Arrgh.

Grrr, that's so annoying.
By the way, if you want to take it up with ebay, do it promptly. There's a cut-off point for when you can sort out disputes and get money back, I think. I had trouble with a buyer on ebay (I sold a festival ticket) and as I was out of the country, I left it too long and couldn't reclaim my fees. Check it out at any rate, in case they drag their heels.

They're not weeds - that's a habitat for wildlife, don't you know?

Oh dear, I bought a stereo back in November and it just stopped working. I bought it off a company called Audio Electrical Ltd that sometimes trades as premiervision, macdaddy_dee2006 and now even as eBay Shop Tech Electr0nics . Really should have done some more research if he keeps changing his company name than can't be great.
