Bonjour from a newbie

We love hearing from you, so here is your chance. Introduce yourself and tell us what makes you selfsufficient 'ish'. Go on don't be shy, we welcome one and all. You can also tell us how you heard about us if you like.

Bonjour from a newbie

Post: # 93003Post Brij »

Thought I'd better introduce myself a bit

I'm a British student living in Paris for the academic year. Having only until June and just a (north-facing) balcony, I'm not really able to grow my own stuff (though if anyone has any ideas I can try, let me know!), but I'm self-sufficient-ish when it comes to making other things... I'm constantly re-cycling boxes, newspapers by making them into other things, have a large collection of vases/candlesticks made from old wine and lager bottles that I've painted, I'm knitting/sewing/crocheting as many new clothes as I can (which is increasingly more) - for myself and friends, I try to make my own cosmetics (dismally), bathing products, etc. Basically I have more time than money, and a creative streak that I like to turn to selfsufficientish type activities.

Though really I'm just a selfsufficient-ish fledgeling, I'm hoping to learn from you guys!

Welcome to you and your cat! :drunken:
There was a thread somewhere else on what to grow in shade... Maybe you can find some inspiration there?

Hey guys, thanks for the welcome :thumbright:

Alas my cats are not so well-trained, the avatar came from an email my mum forwarded me.
