had a friend over, for a plant swap, she gave loads of plants and so did i, i have planted dozens of what she gave (and vice versa) , loads of herbs and a half a dozen lilacs, ooh it is such joy.
anyone else feel the same about new plants?

Yes! I spent some of my Xmas money on new perennials and a couple of shrubs. I haven't bought any perennials since we bought this house and have just filled flower beds with things that self seed.

Had a lovely day the other day starting to plant them out, and I've got a new shady bed nearly ready to be planted up so I've been collecting plants for that bed too.

Much more enjoyable than vegetables, and a lot prettier too! :cheers:

yes. it's like new books. even if they're ex library ones I wont let anyone touch them until I've had the first read.
