A splendid idea... it's cold and windy here - a perfect night to be indoors. Enjoy!

That sounds like a pretty average summer's day to me!

Ah well - sometimes it doesn't rain. At the moment it's white out.

So .... its an ideal opportunity to pick up all those inside projects that I've been putting off. Hem the new curtains, finish off my beading stuff, make some soap, try (again) to master the drop spindle, cheesemaking, start to sew the nightshirt for OH's birthday (3 weeks ago), knitting ..... or shall I light the living room fire and read instead? Hmmmmm :?

Hi K. In the days when I didn't have a fire I had one of those terracotta pots you get from garden centres with the front cut out, with a red lava lamp inside. OK its not quite like the real thing but helped towards the cozy mood. I'm not keen on cats because all the neighbours cats just think the nice crumbly soil in my raised beds is a cat loo. I'd love a couple of dogs but my OH is allergic to animal hair. :( Just off to get the milk for the cheese then ......

Snuggling up with the cat isn't really an option here, either - the cat wouldn't mind, but it's too cold in the house! So I'm drifting about - back in the office again, which is at least a little warmer...

But funny enough, cheese making is on the agenda today, too. And yoghurt making. And maybe I should bake something - that improves the temperature a little.
