Sex ratio

Post: # 89790Post MKG »

No, no, no ... not like that ...

Just out of interest, does anyone know the ratio of males to females posting on this site? The Margos, Jerrys, Toms and Barbaras tend to be a little misleading.

Hard to say really, I always think it is pretty equal. There is sometimes a gender difference in the type of posts men and women write, well I think there is anyway.

Trying not to sound sexist but, I think men tend to go for more technical posts and women more chatty. Could be wrong.

I think I expect some topics to be gender specific, then get suprised when someone like Stonehead or Nev comment on parenting, wee wipes or infantile crushes on TV presenters!
If I ever comment on anything technical or news related, its usually coz the dh is sitting there ranting and has forgotten his password.

I think there are more women... but I tend to be one of the ladies who is on building / technical things more.... sometimes.

With a name like Annpan, I don't think anyone thinks I'm a guy

Yeah, it is a little difficult to tell sometimes, and I have got it wrong on occasion too. Some forums you can actually put it on your profile. I suspect it is a fairly even spread.
