Tip for really whopping herbs

house herbs: don't water the plants with water, use cold tea. I started my latest basil and my baytree on this two weeks ago and they are both HUGE!!!

I don't dare use it on the aloes.

why aloes grow well or why tea works? tea is a plant so it's kind of like liquid compost...
and aloes are a weed I reckon lol!

I was thinking of why tea works.

I've used weak chamomile tea instead of water for chitting seeds before as I read somewhere that it inhibited fungal growth. I didn't do it scientifically (water-based control for reference) but it certainly didn't cause any problems.

I wonder if any kind of tea works? My wife has recently been drinking jasmine tea, brewed from leaves. We compost the leaves but there is often tea left in the pot, which is too overbrewed to be drinkable. Maybe I should start setting it aside to water one of my plants?

can't be, I only drink decaff tea 'cos of the links between caffeine and depression!
