WANTED: Wine Making Kit - IRELAND

Post: # 59058Post Ireland-or-bust »

Hi,

I can't get any wine making kit anywhere.
There was one shop in Waterford city but it closed down last month.
I have run ads in the buyandsell papers for ages with no reply.

Anyone got any????? SE Ireland.

Thanks,
Mark.

What bits do you need? you can carnoe a demi-john from a large food grade container, like the ones used for spring water. An airlock can be replaced by a cotton wool bung. Use a country wine recipe and no need for grape juice concentrate. The only vital piece of the puzzle is the wine yeast, once you get hold of that start a starter bottle and top it up each time and then you'll be self sufficient in that too! Sterilizing stuff can be the same as for babies bottles (I know not environmentally friendly!).

Hope this helps
Kind thoughts
Deb
