Just seen the first swallow of the year, sitting on a telephone wire having a good preen. I got the binoculars onto it but then it flew right over our garden and there was no mistaking it.
I only ever believe winter is truly at an end when I see the swallows arrive. Anybody else seen one yet?
Summer is definitely coming

We saw our first swallow on Saturday - seen a few more since too.
Typical - they arrive and the weather changes
