Hi gunners
You can still sow radishes, salad leaves, lambs lettuce (which you can pick all winter). I also overwintered some normal lettuce and spring onions last year, and I'm going to try broad beans for spring harvest, too. My spinach wasn't supposed to stay out all winter, but did and I had a few meals from it this year.

Thanks for a bit of Aussie flavour Bruce!
It's all Andy's work and he does deserve a "well done"!

allotment ideas
Well done Gunners, I would love to have an allotment but being new to the area around here I wouldn't know where to get one from. I live in Killamarsh, not too far from Worksop. have you thought about sowing spring cabbage for next year and maybe winter spinach. Maybe quick maturing carrots might be an idea. We used to live in East Yorkshire where I had a much bigger garden and I loved pulling fresh carrots from my small veg plot. They grew until fairly late on in succession. Also radish and salad lettuce ( radiccio did well for me)
