Hi Guys,

I have now got my soap nuts for the washing machine, i have freecycled my dishwasher. and recycling where ever possible

i have also today e mailed british telecom and yell. com and cancelled my phone book and yellow pages and told them i will be using the internet in future, i don't wanna know how many treesthey have cut down, habitats they have destroyed or animals they have endangered to make this no very out of date way of getting a phone number.

we have joined an veggie/grocery box scheme, and an organic meat club. and i don't use any supermarkets at all now.

sorry for going on, but i needed to tell someone, as i am so excited.

The phone book thing is cool Maggie. I was whingeing the other day because we got missed in the phone book deliveries, and I have to keep going/sending someone across the road to borrow one, when we need to track someone down...

All of a sudden, I am quite happy to say "I don't want one of those lousy tree destroyers anyway!" and will just wait till the internet is sorted instead.

Hmm, we still get phone books as they are quite handy for growing oyster mushrooms on when the new one comes.

Good for you!! I didnt realise that you could cancel phone books - so guess where my inernet is leading me next!! Especially as we have already made good use of the online 192 site already! Thank you so much for the heads up
