Unread messages marked as read

I wondered if anybody else misses some messages because they get marked as read when they haven't been? I'm not sure if this is a problem with the message board software, or the browser that I'm using (Firefox).

Often I veiw my unread messages, and there is a whole list of them, but after I've read one of them, all the rest have disappeared from the new messages page, and are marked as read on the main page.

Anybody else getting this?

Might well be a firefox issue as with mozillia browsers seem to register people as two users at once (I think ). Not an expert but that seems the case. As I am comming towards the end of my degree I will be able to spend a little more time on the site and am thinking of having making changes to the forum, this might include options to look at the most recently added to topics and perhaps the top ten looked at.

Not sure what yet but yep will try and make it easier to use.
