I'll try my best to get 10.

1. Spent the past 6 years living in and travelling between Greece, Macedonia and Scotland, not spending more than 1 and 1/2 years at a time in one place. Hopefully now we're settled for good in Macedonia.

2. Married a Macedonian guy.

3. Lived in a tent on a beach in Greece for 1 summer.

4. Volunteered for The Sea Turtle Protection Society Of Greece doing conservation work, research and public awareness.

5. Got a degree in Zoology.

6. Managed to inherit a mortgage free house.

7. Renovated a 200 year old Turkish town house in Macedonia.

8. Spent 1 month without shoes in Greece because my flip flops fell apart and it took me a while to get round to buying new ones. This was when i was living on the beach.

9. Somehow managed to marry the most hard working man ever. Maybe something to do with him being Eastern European?

10. Grown weed. Shhhhhhh don't tell! ( sorry i couldn't think of anything else! lol )

1) Survived a murder attempt
2) Was indecently assaulted at the age of 13
3) Was mugged & if it wasn't for alternative medicine would have been left blind in my right eye from the beating around the face
4) Appeared on the front page of the national gay press
5) Co-founded an LGBT interfaith network
6) Become one of only 2 Pagan chaplains for a university in the country
7) Refused to sell Alison Hammond an ice cream as the shop had closed
8) Had served Matt Willis from Busted & not known who he was until the other staff asked what he had said to me
9) Predicted that I would be hit by a white car, it came pass
10) Built a Pride float which was a Greenman one side & a Greenwoman the other they were full body & incredibly fertile looking (we had the most talked about float that year)

OK - after years, I'm going to have a go ...

1) Had a 50 metre cliff edge give way under my feet, only to catch a foothold about 3 metres down. That was a heart-thumper.
2) Leaned on a doorframe in Australia (very near, I was told a minute later later by an onlooking Australian with a "sense of humour", to a web) and had an angry Redback run straight across my hand.
3) Saw Jennifer Wilson (British actress of "The Brothers" fame - if you're old enough to remember that) every single day for a week with no knickers (her, not me). I was working in the theatre at the time, but even so ...
4) Staying on the theatrical period, and it's panto time, relieved Bryan Johnson of a fallen flat which he'd stuck his arm up to catch whilst continuing to sing "I looked high, high, high, I looked low, low, low ...". And the audience never saw me do it.
5) Was head of the sound department for the European Premier of Chicago.
6) Designed/wrote (over 15 years ago) one bit of electronic equipment and one piece of software which are still in commercial use. I did others, but I'm proud of the longevity of those two.
7) Found (a long time post-mortem) my Italian great-grandfather despite heavy interference from my aunts. They were lying. Cheers, Michelangelo.
8) Was the first person in Doncaster to put gussets in the legs of my jeans to make loons (you had to be around in the 70s to understand that).
9) Wrote a definitive set of documents for the MoD (but I can't tell you about it).
10) Met OH Carole - beats all the others into a cocked hat.

1. Escaped an attempted abduction (I was nine).

2. Had my hand mangled by a fish (carp-two broken fingers and three dislocated)

3. Drank a "Dead Frog" ("A shot of every dark from the top shelf, pretty lady"). It's name suited it.

4. Broke the speed limit by 40 mph, through city traffic, blew three red lights and a stop sign to rush my friend to my doctors office (closer than the E.R.) because she was in anaphalactic shock from (get this!) too many nausea suppositories! Doctor said friend wouldn't have made it to the hospital.

5. Thwarted a robbery (he was casing my store and I annoyed him so much he left)

6. Met my husband online--we've been married 14 years this December

7. Retired from 6 years as our neighborhood's lay-veterinarian/lay-doctor (a.k.a. crazy neighbor lady who reads too much and is iwlling to try anthing) after a cat chewed my hand up and landed me in the hospital with my hand swelled up to the size of a softball.

8. "Rode" a 365 pound hog---he dumped me square in the middle of the wallow--it was " A Day No Pigs Would Die"

9. Survived a car accident the police told me no one should ever have survived. Those same police officers then issued me (in the emergency room, hysterical, crying, and naked save a thin white sheet) a ticket for failure to yield before being chased out of the room by nurses. Thank the Lord, the other guy made it too--he was in a two ton farm truck.

10. Had my brand new Calvin Klein Jeans (I was on a date) and my right boot cut off me in the same emergency room four years later when the horse I was on (retired racehorse) spooked, got the bit in his teeth, and after a nice brisk run I tried to bail off (slick slab coming up in the road), only to have him run over me. When I came to I was sprawled in the middle of the road with my date trying to decide whether to stay with me or ride for help. Got back on same horse and rode for another half hour before going to E.R. No ticket this time,..just a concussion, cracked tibia, and an hour's worth of picking gravel out of my knee.

Have I mentioned that I am a little stubborn and a lot foolish?

I thought I'd add my 10 as well, although they aren't as good as some of the ones previously posted.
1: Know Liz Williams (sci fi author)
2: Ran the maintenance for a radiotherapy department more or less single handed
3: Been a proffessional archaeologist (Albeit only for a year)
4: Made a spud gun then stabbed my hand badly enough to require an operation whilst making another for the children.
5: Been to Las Vegas 3 times but never gambled
6: Edit the local caving club's newsletter and got an award from the club for doing it.
7: Crashed a car through a fence due to black ice back in 1982. The hole is still there to this day.
8: Reckon I can drive virtually any vehicle (although I'm not saying how well!)
9: Been in both a plane and a glider doing aerobatics.
10: Done solo caving and abseiling in a cave in the Mendips.

I'm sorry to hear it---I hope you're alright!

On the lighter side, please let me know how many days it takes for the "effects" to wear off. My DH told me he could still smell hog muck in my hair six days later (well over 12 washes later, as the first day I smelled so bad I washed my hair 6 times, including twice with skunk shampoo and once with a homemade concoction guaranteed to remove even the worst odors).

I am a deeply, deeply boring person.....

1. Have a very rare form of a blood disease that is already very rare
2. Sung with a Male Voice Choir
3. Smashed my front teeth in on a railway sleeper
4. Had a pulmonary embolism that should have seen me off.
5. Had an ectopic pregnancy that should have seen me off.
6. Own signed photographs of the Apollo 16 mission.
7. Won first prize in a Lyons Cakes painting competition for the Queen's Silver Jubilee. Even at the age of four I was seriously underwhelmed with my prize, which was a rather crap paintbox.
8. Broken my nose four times.
9. Almost lost a speedboat
10. Got bitten by a gypsy's horse.
I took my dog to play frisbee. She was useless. I think I need a flatter dog.
