Animals

Post: # 260142Post MKG »

For some strange reason (you know - the kind of thing that pops into your head at strange times) I was thinking of my favourite animals. Not favourite because they're simply brilliant (like whales - I love whales, but they're hardly likely to directly impinge on my life in north Notts.) but favourite because you come across them fairly often.

Trying my damnedest to keep the list small and restricted to one example per type, I got the list down to frogs, goats, jackdaws (starlings were a close second) and bumble bees. I really couldn't think of a fish which moved me. I don't know what, if anything, that list says about me.

Anyone else got a list?

No I won't use a smiley because I've decided to turn into Boboff, as he's turned all nice all of a sudden. Grumble grumble.

Ah, in that case Boboff send me your address and I'll let you have ALL of mine.

Thinking hard (doesn't come easy)

Mammal would be Otter
Bird probably Raven, damn clever birds and AFAIK the only one that can loop the loop and fly upside down.
Can't honestly think of any amphibians or snakes or fish (maybe Mackerel)
Insects Tortoiseshell butterfly and Ladybird
Useful animals, Jack Russels and pigs.
Tony

Cuttlefish are completely awesome.

All the corvids seem to get a bad rap, but I'm personally quite fond of magpies.
Cheers

I love Magpies (& may call my next house Meadow Cottage, which as a Forest fan could be odd!),
Pythons and woodlice.

& Greyhounds, obviously

Dogs!
I love dogs...all dogs. They're all brilliant!
I love the devotion they have and the pure love they show.

It doesn't matter how mean someone is to a dog, it will still love them unconditionally. Which is horrible when people are mean to dogs, but is a saving grace when i accidentally step on my dog's paw (she does insist on standing UNDER my feet...).
