Supermarket Skipping

Post: # 259293Post Nadia »

Hi, I'm a journalist looking to meet people (freegans?) who use food from supermarket skips. I'd like one or two people (ideally in London) to explain the benefits, for a feature I am researching. If you're interested please call me on Removed by Moderator

iv not done it but i know people who have and iv eaten food thats been skipped.

they basically take food thats in sealed packets so its not contaminated. things that are past the sell by date but not past the use by date. theres loads of stuff their not allowed to sell thats past the sell by date but still completely edible and its a complete waste to throw it in the bin. they should have a give away shelf or something for people to take it for free so its not wasted. but then probably everyone would just take the free stuff and not pay for other stuff and the shop would loose money.
