A bit tidily
hi everybody, It's been a while since I have had a chance to look on here, I have been reading some of the posts and its all good stuff. Can't work out the alleged spat, followed by the apology, but I sure it has been interesting lol. Well spring has arrived in sunny Bulgaria and I have to say, every bone in my body, and then some, hurts! The goats have been born (see avatar for the first lot), we have new piglets, the pruning is done, taters are in, garlic is in and all sorts of bits are done. The trees are all in blossom, the Rakia I made last year is ready, and now its going to rain for three days or so. I am soooo glad, I have cracked open a bottle of Rakia and I am a bit tidily writing this, but I have to say, I am hurting less, well cheers everybody

Wow, you have been busy. I wish I was as advanced as you. So much to do, how on earth did I find time to work?

Re: A bit tidily
same for us.
we're juggling building our house just now along with producing our food. and just now that our roof is off and open to the elements the building work is coming before planting. we're gona be late in getting everything in. and when everything starts getting ready to harvest, we've got 120 trees, thats a lot of picking! its going to be all hands on deck, we'll have to drag in family and friends to help. but we'll get the BBQ fired up and a few drinks for everyone, should be good!
and id much rather be doing this than stuck in a stressful office job in the rain and the winds in scotland!

Re: A bit tidily
Hi Merlin. I felt really pleased yesterday as I sowed tons of seed and thought I had caught up in the garden, but this morning I wrote a To Do List and realised how much more there is to do!
It doesn't ever stop but I don't care as the blossom is out here too and everything looks lovely. Just want some rain!

Re: A bit tidily
Hi MMM, we've had a lot of rain the last couple of days, will send it up your way. I've just finished putting in my 8 raised beds and am now planting out all the veg and stuff from the tunnel. The drip system is almost complete, just the fruit tree irrigation to finish.
Spent last Saturday, at the neighbours farm helping the butcher cutting up the pig, making the sausages, the brawn, and all the other yester- year farmhouse goodies, you know the stuff with no Additives, Enhancers, E numbers. so now our freezers contain 90kl s of pork, lots of Black Puddings, etc. enough to last the family for the coming year. So, what with bounty from last year, added to the good wine harvest and the forty litre's of Red Cahor from 2010 maturing in the cellar, I think we will survive here in my little paradise quite well this year.
